General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Technical Publications (Part 2)
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) are now in force within the European Union with already reports that some organisations are already being investigated for not being fully compliant. We have all seen the massive noise around GDPR, we have all been asked multiple times to resubscribe, reconfirm or accept updated privacy policies – the internet has been awash with all sorts of noise! Technical Publications and the nature of what we do may just also be something we should be considering in a GDPR context. If we are selling, managing and deploying technical publications, GDPR will have an affect on what we should be considering from a GDPR perspective.
In Part 2 we look at how these regulations may affect us in technical publication distribution and deployment, what are the sort of things we should be looking out for and what are some organisations doing (as well as ignoring) to meet the requirements of GDPR.
If you missed Part 1 you can watch it here first where we looked at why TDW was having to update our privacy polices and asked our data base to renew their subscription to the TDW mailing lists.
Part Two is now available on our YouTube channel as well as available via our massively popular PODCAST channel HERE
